Well, this month has brought the news that we can no longer fly at the Hildebran field. We decided at the emergency meeting, that there was no point in dissolving the club before the year is out, so for the remainder of the year we will continue to hold monthly meetings. These meetings will mainly focus on the activities of our newly formed site search committee. If you have any news to report to the committee, please attend one of the meetings, or call one of the committee members.

We also decided to move meetings to Wednesday evenings, so that they will not interfere with people flying at neighboring fields on Sundays.

I hope we find an alternative flying site soon, and until then, please try to be positive and keep your eyes open for any alternative sites.

Notes from the last club meeting (June 29th emergency meeting)

It was decided to remove the sign at the entrance to the field as soon as possible

It was decided to cut off the power at the field as soon as possible.

A site search committee was formed consisting of:

Discussion was heard on the possibility of using the old Caldwell Co Landfill. The site committee was to visit the location, and if it looked suitable, they would begin the process of contacting the county with regards permission to use the site.

It was reported that the West Hickory, and Catawba Valley clubs  would honor Hildebran memberships  for a temporary period.
