From The Oval Office

Our car racing track has been finished. It is nicely leveled off, and is ready for some racing. Members and their guests are welcome to use the track.

Mr Long has mentioned that Pepsi have withdrawn their offer to buy the field, and that they have started construction near the airport. So, it looks like we will be able to continue flying at Long's field for the foreseeable future.

Please remember that club dues are now overdue. Some members still owe their dues for this year. Your flying privileges depend upon payment of your dues so please try to make your payments soon.

Notes from the last club meeting

Discussion was heard on a time and location for the club meetings. It was decided to continue holding the meetings at the flying field on the second Sunday of each month at 3:00pm.

The dirt racing track for R/C cars was discussed, and it was agreed to go ahead and level some ground to make the track. It was decided that the track was to be used by members and their guests only.

Gene Cowan was dropped as an intro pilot due to lack of participation.

Discussion was heard on the payment of work credits. It was decided to keep the work credit payments as per the by-laws.
